50% HP | Uses Tera Blast |
40% HP | Uses Sunny Day |
20% HP | Uses Inferno |
The strategy I used for this solo run is using Sylveon.
Ideally you want to have at least HP, Special Attack and Special Defense bottle capped. (and EVs in Special Attack and Special Defense)
For mine, I actually used one I bred a year ago, which wasn’t even optimized specifically for this fight. Why this is important is that I was lacking a lot of Special Defense (EVs in Defense instead), meaning that it’s possible to do without fully maxing Special Defense.
If your Sylveon is level 100, and you follow the step-by-step, this shouldn’t prove to be a problem at all,
below is our setup for Sylveon specifically for this fight.
As item we’ll be using the Expert Belt, as we’ll get sustain from the Draining Kiss if necessary.
A huge advantage in this fight is the fact that Charizard will only clear his own stats at the very start. What this means is you can lower his Special Defense without fear of him removing those, which is also what we do here, finishing blow here is insane as you’ll see.
So let’s get to the fight itself then:
I’ll be guiding you through every turn as below.
Use the Hang tough! cheer on turn one
Use the Go all out! cheer on turn one
Use Fake Tears on turn 3 through turn 6 (this is calculating in a death - as I myself died once on turn 5)
Use Draining Kiss on turn 7
At around 70% HP left, Charizard will reset your stats (which we’ve not boosted yet)
This is our cue to start boosting our stats, as Charizard will reset only once. Use Calm Mind on turn 8 and 9.
Use Draining Kiss on turn 10, as our HP will be low at this point.
Use Moonblast on turn 11, and then Terastallize + Moonblast on turn 12.
This should be sufficient to net the faint. (check out that last Moonblast damage in the video)
TIP:
If you still have trouble, just leave and reenter until you have some good allies.
This’ll give you some free advantage.
