How to beat this raid Solo, guaranteed
This event will be life from
April 5th 2024 to April 7th 2024
and again from
April 12th 2024 to April 14th 2024
This time the 7-Star raid Pokémon will be Meganium!
Meganium’s pattern in this fight will be as follows:
HP Percentage | Action |
---|---|
99% Time | Uses Reflect |
Uses Light Screen | |
85% HP or 80% Time | Activates shield |
79% Time | Nullify player Pokémon stat changes & abilities |
70% HP | Removes negative effects from itself |
40% HP | Removes negative effects from itself |
30% HP | Uses Bulldoze |
The strategy I used for this solo run is using Malamar.
Ideally you want to have at least HP, Attack and Defense bottle capped. (and EVs in HP and Defense)
Mine was just that, very important however is the Contrary Ability (luckily enough it’s not even a Hidden Ability!). This will be key to the strategy..
If your Malamar is level 100, and you follow the step-by-step, this shouldn’t prove to be a problem at all,
below is our setup for Malamar specifically for this fight.
I’d say even more: this was the most fun I had in a 7-Star Tera raid in a while!
As item we’ll be using the Shell Bell.
So let’s get to the fight itself then:
I’ll be guiding you through every turn as below.
Use the Skill Swap skill to swap Abilities with Meganium. This will set it on the backfoot from the start as it’ll use Curse usually here.
Use Lunge on turn 2 to boost the Meganium’s Attack stat (through your Contrary Ability),
one of these will be enough to do the trick.\
Use the Go all out! cheer on turn one
Use Superpower on turns 4 and 5, to get an extra -2 on your Defense stat. (together with the Lunge Attack Boost from earlier you’ll be able to die faster)
Okay this may be a unique move here, I used Payback on an ally (solo mode obviously), the reason for this is we don’t want to heal too much with our Shell Bell.
We DIE on turn 7 - which is intended.
Use Superpower on turns 8 through 13, to boost both our Attack and Defense stats to max (+6).
After getting the +6 Attack and Defense, you can just spam Payback to the end. Make sure to Terastallize here as well for even more added damage.
This should be sufficient to net the faint.\
TIP:
If you still have trouble, just leave and reenter until you have some good allies (healers might make this specific strat a bit harder).
This’ll give you some free advantage.
