This event will be life from
June 28th 2024 to June 30th 2024
and again from
July 05th 2024 to July 07th 2024
This time the 7-Star raid Pokémon will be Sceptile!
Sceptile’s pattern in this fight will be as follows:
Timing | Action |
---|---|
99% Time | Uses Leaf Storm |
85% Time | Nullify player Pokémon stat changes & abilities |
85% HP | Uses Breaking Swipe |
80% Time | Reduces player Tera Orb charge |
70% HP or 75% Time | Activates shield |
65% Time | Removes negative effects from itself |
30% HP | Uses Earthquake |
The strategy I used for this solo run is using Grimmsnarl.
Ideally you want to have at least HP, Attack and Defense bottle capped. (and EVs in Attack and HP)
I bred mine to adopt the above stats, another important thing is making sure you have the Prankster Ability. This will provide a very nice advantage when using status moves.
If your Grimmsnarl is level 100, and you follow the step-by-step, this shouldn’t prove to be a problem at all,
below is our setup for Grimmsnarl specifically for this fight.
Even with a couple setbacks in the actual fight I managed to pull through, so I’d say it’s a solid strategy.
As item we’ll be using the Shell Bell.
The biggest part of this strategy is just our immunity to Dragon attacks
and abuse our Fairy Tera on top of our natural Fairy typing for very high amounts of damage output.
As you can see in the Video guide, I was confidently able to defeat Sceptile, even when dying early (Crits happen often on Leaf Blade), so don’t worry.
So let’s get to the fight itself then:
I’ll be guiding you through every turn as below.
Use the Taunt skill to make it so Sceptile can’t get early boosts in.
Use the Reflect skill to reduce all Physical damage Sceptile will inflict.
Use the Play Rough skill 3 times to build up your Tera charge mainly while lowering his HP a bit.
Use Bulk Up 6 times total in order to maximize (+6) both your Attack and Defense stats. Usually you’ll want to Play Rough once in between in order to recover some HP through your Shell Bell (I did so after 4 Bulk Ups) You can also Terastalize here (as I did), to get it out of the way and definitely before you next Play Rough (for example if you need HP)
Use Play Rough to pummel Sceptile until he faints, at +6 you should see some nice damage outputs.
TIP:
If you still have trouble, just leave and reenter until you have some good allies (Intimidate on teammates helps with the start of this fight).
This’ll give you some free advantage.
