Celebrate Valentine's Day with some amazing Exp. Candy and Rare Candy rewards.
The event will be life from
February 12-15 2024
This time the raid Pokémon will be Fairy type Luvdisc!
Luvdisc’s pattern in this fight will be as follows (only the 5-star Luvdisc will do this):
HP Percentage | Action |
---|---|
85% Time remaining | Uses Charm |
75% HP | Uses Rain Dance |
55% HP or 40% Time remaining | Activates shield |
50% HP | Removes negative effects from itself |
40% HP | Reduces player Tera Orb charge |
25% HP | Nullify player Pokémon stat changes & abilities |
Considering 5 Star raids contain Lv. 75 Pokémon, this shouldn’t pose much of a threat if you have any Lv. 100 Pokémon.
Just to make sure you can all make it I’ll give some recommendations here anyway:
Funny enough, we just obtained this Pokémon recently and it’s already level 100.
My recommended set:
The good part about this is availability, if you were able to obtain Empoleon (If not, be sure to check this out!) it can easily deal with a 5 Star Luvdisc (Fairy) By using Metal Sound turn 1, then Flash Cannon to finish the job.
Gholdengo is just a very strong steel-type attacker, hence it’s a viable option for sure.
My recommended set:
Gholdengo is a lot trickier to obtain than the event Empoleon, which requires you to evolve a Gimmighoul.
Gimmighoul can be encountered in the overworld in a couple locations, and need to be evolved by leveling up with 999 Gimmighoul Coins in your bags.
Strategy would be the same as Empoleon’s: use Metal Sound turn 1, then Make it Rain to finish the job.
If this doesn’t work, a Nasty Plot will surely help you set up for the kill.
Gengar, a lot of people’s generation 1 favorite.
Because of its more than decent Special Attack stat, the Poison-type Gengar is a good option as well.
My recommended set:
Because Gengar has no access to Metal Sound, I recommend just going into a Nasty Plot turn 1 to set up,
and following up with a Sludge Bomb turn 2 to make the kill.
Let us know how many Rare Candies you managed to scoop up this event.
